Overnight shooting near a Miami-Dade IHOP puts two people in critical condition

Two people are in critical condition after an overnight shooting near an IHOP restaurant in Cutler Bay, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 4 a.m. Sunday, MDSO said, deputies arrived at 18860 S. Dixie Hwy., and found a man and a woman both dealing with gunshot wounds. Deputies were told the man had been in an argument with someone who pulled out a gun and fired, hitting the man and woman in their upper bodies. The shooter left before deputies arrived.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the two victims to Jackson Memorial Hospital South.
