Hollywood man jailed after child-abuse files show up on his Google account: cops
A Google account flagged for having files containing child sexual abuse material was tied to a Hollywood man, according to police.
On Feb. 14 a cybertip came in from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children after Google became aware that a subscriber had the abuse files stored on Google Photos and Google Drive, according to the arrest paperwork of the alleged owner of the account, James Henjum, 34.
An investigation revealed that Henjum was in possession of multiple images depicting the sexual abuse of children. Investigators say the children ranged in age from infants to 10 years old. Many files included women abusing children, police say.
“In addition, there were dozens of photographs (’selfies’) of an adult male matching the physical description of James Henjum, further indicating the account was actively being used by James Henjum,” detectives wrote in his arrest paperwork.
On Wednesday, a search warrant was carried out at Henjum’s Hollywood home, and he was taken into custody. An Amazon tablet that matched the description of the one in the cybertip was found.
Jail records show that Henjum remains jailed at the Paul Rein Detention Facility as of Friday on 10 charges related to possession of child pornography. He has a $50,000 bond. His attorney information was not immediately available.
