A man was walking in Brownsville on Saturday morning without knowing he had been shot, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Around 6:20 a.m., MDSO’s Northside District deputies responded to a shooting in the area of Northwest 24th Avenue and 62nd Street.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking in the area and didn’t notice he had been shot,” MDSO spokesman Joseph R. Peguero Rivera wrote in an email to the Miami Herald.

Deputies found the man with a “gunshot wound to his lower extremities,” Peguero Rivera said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
