Man jailed after tips flagged an account uploading child-abuse material: MDSO
After cyber tips in December 2025 flagged an email account being used to upload hundreds of videos containing child sexual-abuse material, the alleged owner of the account was jailed on Wednesday after a criminal investigation was launched, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
A detective was assigned the case on Dec. 27, 2025, after at least five tips were reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the arrest affidavit of 22-year-old Daniel Cure.
Deputies say Cure was identified as the owner of the Gmail account and a warrant was then issued for all “stored electronic communications” and files associated with the account.
The search uncovered at least six files that contained hundreds of videos containing adult pornography and the child sexual-abuse material, according to the arrest affidavit. Selfies of Cure were also found.
There were abuse videos of boys and girls ranging in age from about 4 to 10 years old, detectives say.
On Wednesday, deputies arrived at his Southwest Miami-Dade County home and took him into custody. Deputies say Cure admitted that the selfies were of him and he recognized the videos of children, but did not identify them.
Cure was charged with six counts of possessing sexual performance by a child. Jail records show he remains locked up at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Thursday with a $12,000 bond. His attorney information was not immediately available on the Miami-Dade County Clerk of Courts site.
