A woman was shot early Friday inside a Miramar apartment by a man she knew, police say.
Officers went to the building at 10750 North Preserve Way around 2:10 a.m. responding to reports of a robbery, said Janice McIntosh, a police spokeswoman.
They found the woman, who has not been named, wounded by gunfire, McIntosh said. Paramedics took her to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where she died Friday afternoon, McIntosh said.
The man who shot her, also not named by police, knew the woman and is cooperating with detectives, McIntosh said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
