Hollywood Police Department investigating after teen is killed in shooting
Police are investigating after a teenager was fatally shot Wednesday in Hollywood, authorities said.
Officers responded to a shooting shortly before 9:30 p.m. on the 7300 block of Farragut Street, the Hollywood Police Department said. A male teenager, who police didn’t identify, died at the scene.
No arrests had been made as of Thursday afternoon, department spokesperson Deanna Bettineschi said.
Bettineschi didn’t answer questions from the Miami Herald regarding the specific shooting location, possible security footage or whether the shooter was in a car or on foot.
“HPD is still actively investigating this case,” she said. “More will be released as it comes available.”
