Man found dead on road in Pompano Beach, Broward Sheriff’s Office says

Broward sheriff’s deputies found a 40-year-old man dead on the road Sunday in Pompano Beach.
Deputies went to the 1600 block of North Dixie Highway around 2 a.m. to investigate a report of a body, and found a man in the roadway, a BSO spokesperson said.
The man, who was identified as Rayon Sanchez, of Pompano Beach, had been shot and died on the scene, BSO said.
The 1600 block of North Dixie Highway was shut down for around four hours while BSO homicide detectives investigated the death.
