Woman found in Miami Gardens lake was killed, cops say. Police search for killer
After a woman was found dead in a Miami Gardens lake last week, police announced Tuesday that her death has been ruled a homicide and that they are searching for who killed her.
Around 8:40 a.m., Thursday Geneva Bennett Prevatt was discovered in a lake near 1005 Northwest 208th Terrace. The next day, the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and determined her death was a homicide. The exact cause of death remains under investigation, police say.
The Miami Gardens Police Department is asking for the public’s help.
