A cyber tip led to the arrest of a Miami-Dade man who was found hoarding files of child sexual abuse material, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

On Feb. 5, 2025, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from an “electronic service provider,” which can commonly be an internet or email provider reporting an account for uploading media files containing the abuse materials, according to the arrest affidavit of Roland Perez Guerrero, 29.

An investigation into the tip tied the material to Perez Guerrero, who investigators say had videos of children, some as young as 2 years old, being sexually abused. Videos of dogs being sexually abused were also found.

Some of the files were sent to other people by Perez Guerrero, investigators say.

On Wednesday, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office priority response team took Perez Guerrero into custody at his southwest Miami-Dade home.

Perez Guerrero was hit with 22 charges, including possessing sexual performance by a child, promoting sexual performance by a child and engaging with sexual animal images.

His bond was set at $97,500 on Thursday. He remains locked up at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
