Police are asking for help in finding the driver who hit the man at Northwest 12th Street and 28th Avenue around 3:30 a.m.

Miami Fire Rescue paramedics took the injured pedestrian, identified a Antonio Sanchez, to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he died, said Officer Michael Vega, a police spokesman.

Vega said officers are looking for a tan or gold SUV with front-end damage.
