Davie Fire Rescue told the Miami Herald one person was found injured at the Aveda Institute, a cosmetology school at 4186 South University Drive. The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital; their condition is unknown.

According to police scanners on Broadcastify.com, the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the school. Two people were found injured with at least one suffering gunshot wounds.
