An Opa-locka teen was arrested Wednesday for robbing University of Miami football player Bryce Fitzgerald, the Florida City Police Department said.

The incident happened during a Jan. 10 birthday party at 530 NW 7th St. in Florida City, according to an arrest affidavit.

While Fitzgerald was in the living room, the lights went off.

Fitzgerald told police three masked males came through the front door, went toward him and said, “Where is the chain, give up the chain,” the affidavit said.

One of the men allegedly pointed a rifle to his head, demanded his “BF” chain and hit him in the leg three times with the butt of the gun. They took Fitzgerald’s chain and two bracelets valued at $53,000.

A couple of days later, police met with a witness who identified Terrell Jermaine Lipscomb Jr., 19, as one of the robbers, the affidavit said.

Lipscomb showed up at the Florida City Police Department on Wednesday after a detective called his mother. He told investigators he was at his friend’s house the night of the robbery.

He is facing one count of home-invasion robbery with a firearm and is being held without bond at the Miami-Dade Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, jail records show.

Another man and a 17-year-old were listed as co-defendants in the case, but their records or potential charges were not listed on the websites of the Miami-Dade County Clerk or the county’s jail system.
