A man was locked up Wednesday afternoon after an argument inside a Dania Beach home led to him stabbing a woman and an 8-year-old girl, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to reports of a stabbing around 2:50 p.m. at a home at 4510 SW 23rd Terrace, BSO said. Investigators said Daquan Delancy, 31, got into an argument that escalated when he attacked the woman and threatened to stab her.

During the confrontation, an 8-year-old girl suffered a serious cut to her hand, according to the sheriff’s office.

Both the woman and the child were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. They remain hospitalized as of Friday, deputies say.

Deputies went to the hospital, where Delancy was taken into custody, the sheriff’s office said.

Delancy was booked into the Broward County Main Jail, where jail records show he remains as of Friday on a $125,000 bond. He faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and several charges involving the use of a weapon and injuries to a child, according to jail records.
