Miami-Dade man had child porn involving boys under 10, sheriff’s office says
A man admitted Tuesday to having several images of child pornography involving boys who appeared younger than 10 on his computer, nearly two years after officials received a tip about his email address, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest of Raul Ricardo De-La-Rosa-Yera stemmed from a May 8, 2024, tip that was made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an email address, skycaptain4750@gmail.com, being used to upload child pornography, an arrest affidavit said.
A detective was provided with the tip on Jan. 9 and discovered the reported email address, phone number and IP address belonged to De-La-Rosa-Yera, the affidavit said.
Through a search warrant, investigators allegedly found three explicit images of what appeared to be an adult raping a boy and boys in sexual positions on his accounts and devices.
Authorities found De-La-Rosa-Yera, 57, at Southwest 97th Avenue and 34th Street, took him into custody and brought him to the Special Victims Bureau for an interview, the affidavit said.
Investigators said he “provided a full confession” during which he admitted to possessing the photos. He signed his initials on each image.
De-La-Rosa-Yera is accused of three counts of possession of child sexual performance material.
He was being held on a $7,500 bond Wednesday afternoon at the Miami-Dade Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, jail records show.
