Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for the driver of an SUV who struck a woman riding a motorcycle, sending her to the hospital.

The woman, whom the sheriff’s office did not name, was riding her motorcycle around 11 p.m. near Northwest 54th Street and 22nd Avenue on Jan. 6, when she was hit by a red 2017 GMC Yukon Denali that was heading in the opposite direction.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the woman to the hospital to be treated for injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office said Monday she remains in stable condition.

Detectives are now looking for the Denali. They believe the vehicle has damage to its right side, including the front door and front fender. It was last seen traveling south on Northwest 22nd Avenue from 54th Street, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives are asking the public’s help in locating the driver. The sheriff’s office said anyone with information should all 305 471-8477.
