Arrest made in Fort Lauderdale hit-and-run that killed 70-year-old man, cops say

Days after a 70-year-old man was run over by a car and left to die in Fort Lauderdale, police say a man has been arrested in the hit-and-run.

Around 8 p.m. Monday, officers went to the 400 block of West Sunrise Boulevard after reports of a crash. They they found Johnie Lee Davis dead in the street.

Police say the driver has been identified as 25-year-old Travaris Lamain McCoy, who on Thursday was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
