One dead, one injured after Florida City shooting, officials say

A man was shot dead and another was wounded in a Florida City neighborhood early Tuesday morning, authorities say.
Around 12:30 a.m., Florida City police officers responded to the 1400 block of Northwest Second Avenue after getting reports about a man who’d been shot. Officers arrived to find two men with gunshot wounds.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced one of the men dead at the scene. The second man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police have not yet publicly identified the victims. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
