Body found floating in Miami-Dade canal, sheriff’s office said

A man’s body was found floating in a canal near Westchester Tuesday afternoon, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to reports of the body, located near Southwest Eighth Street and 76th Court, shortly before 4 p.m.
The investigation into how the person died is ongoing, said Detective Joseph Peguero Rivera, a sheriff’s office spokesman.
