Miami-Dade shooting leaves two people hospitalized; one critical, deputies say

A shooting in Northwest Miami-Dade left two people hospitalized early Wednesday morning, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
At around 12:50 a.m. deputies arrived to the area of Northwest 171st Avenue and 158th Street.
There they found an adult man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds “to the lower extremities,” deputies said. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the man to Aventura Hospital in stable condition.
A second person who was in critical condition went to Jackson Memorial Hospital from the scene and was later transferred to Aventura Hospital.
The sheriff's office general investigations took the case. Information on a shooter or what led up to the shooting was not immediately available.
