BSO searching for 2 rifle-wielding men wanted in a deadly Pompano Beach shooting
Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public’s help locating two men they say gunned two other men down in Pompano Beach in early October.
The masked men were filmed by a security camera pulling up to a house at the 1600 block of Northwest 10th Circle in a red Honda Accord around 2 p.m. on Oct. 4.
The footage shows them get out of the vehicle. Each are armed with semiautomatic rifles, one with a distict blue magazine, as they run toward the house. They’re then seen running back to the car.
When deputies arrived at the house, they found two men with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, where one of them, Lennie Gayle, died, according to the sheriff’s office. The BSO did not release Gayle’s age or the other man’s identity, citing victims’ privacy laws.
The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about the shooting to call Detective Kevin Nitch at 954-321-4876. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
