A 14-year-old was struck by a bullet Saturday night while walking to a business in south Miami-Dade, deputies say.

Shortly after 8 p.m., the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting near Southwest 192nd Street and 113th Place, just outside Cutler Bay. There, they found several spent casings — and the boy with a gunshot wound to his right arm.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the boy to a nearby hospital, where he was in stable condition, officials say.

The boy, who was walking to a nearby business when he was shot, was able to run to safety until deputies arrived, according to MDSO.

Deputies haven’t released any information about the gunman. Anyone with information should contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
