Broward man hoarded and distributed child sex abuse material, police say
A Lauderhill man is behind bars after a months-long investigation revealed he was hoarding and distributing child sexual abuse material — including infants — police said on Friday.
From April through June, the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Humanity task force received multiple cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on possible possession and distribution of the abuse material.
A Lauderhill police investigation uncovered electronic files that contained images and videos of children ages 3 to 14 being sexually abused.
Police traced the images back to Courtney Fisher, 20, and on Wednesday served search warrants. Fisher was taken into custody.
“During the search, detectives uncovered additional concealed files containing child sexual abuse material, including material depicting children as young as infants,” the police department said in a news release.
Fisher is charged with 10 counts of possessing depiction of child sexual conduct and one count of computer pornography.
He remained at the Paul Rein Detention Facility on an $80,000 bond as of Friday.
