One person wounded and another arrested after shooting in Sunrise, police say

A shooting in West Broward left one person injured and hospitalized Saturday, police said. Officers have arrested a suspect.

Around 12:50 p.m., Sunrise police officers responded to the shooting near Northwest 18th Street and 63rd Avenue and found one person hurt. The victim has not been identified.

The injured person was conscious and taken to Florida Medical Center after suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Another person was taken into custody, but police have not released a name or possible charges.
