A woman drove herself to a police station after she was shot inside a car in Northwest Miami-Dade Tuesday night, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Around 10:30 p.m., the woman arrived at the Northside district station, located at 799 NW 81st St., with a gunshot wound to her “upper extremities,” deputies said. The woman was accompanied by a young girl who had cuts from a shattered window.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the woman to the hospital, where she is in stable condition. The girl was treated at the station and cleared by paramedics.

Deputies say the shooting took place in the area of Northwest 16th Avenue and 74th Street, around a mile and a half from the station. What led up to the shooting remains unclear.
