Bloody shirt, Glock and a Broward teen charged as an adult in his brother’s death

A 15-year-old will be charged as an adult after investigators spotted a blood-stained security shirt and a Glock in his bedroom following the death of his older brother — whose body was found dumped in a Broward canal, court documents show.

Demetre Fleurimond, of Dania Beach, faces one count of first degree murder with a firearm. BSO on Thursday transferred him to the Juvenile Annex of the Broward County Jail, where he’s being held without bond.

On Aug. 19, his older brother, Kevin Dominique, was found by Broward Sheriff Office deputies and firefighters in a canal near Old Griffin Road and Ocean Waterway Boulevard.

Dominique, 23, had been reported missing a day prior when his mother told BSO that Dominique hadn’t been to work, couldn’t contact him and he hadn’t been heard from since the previous day, arrest paperwork indicates.

A neighbor told investigators that he heard three gunshots around 10 p.m. on Aug. 17 and saw a black Honda drive away swiftly. Dominique owns a 2013 black Honda.

That coupled with the blood droplets in the front hallway and the front walkway, investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for the house on Southwest Sixth Avenue. Among things found in Demetre’s bedroom, the probable cause affidavit said, were a Glock behind the bed, a Honda key fob in a pillowcase, and a blue St. Moritz Security Service shirt in the closet, Dominique’s employer.

“The shirt had what appeared to be blood on the upper portion of the shirt,” the affidavit said. “The shirt also had what appeared to be multiple defecs in the shirt, which would be consistent with projectile strike marks.”

Demetre told police that the Glock, AR-15 found between the box spring and mattresses and Glock magazines belonged to high school classmate “Joshua” and he stored them at “Joshua’s” request. BSO investigators say the Glock matched the serial number on a receipt found in Demetre’s bedroom.
