Murder investigation underway after a man was shot dead, Miami-Dade deputies say

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was gunned down in Southwest Miami-Dade on Friday evening, the Sheriff’s Office says.
Deputies arrived at the area of Southwest 109th Avenue and 216th Street after reports of a man shot. They found a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Miami-Dade paramedics took the man to the hospital in critical condition, and he died there.
Deputies have not released information on the shooter.
