A man is dead after a shooting at a Biscayne Gardens apartment complex claimed his life Thursday morning.

Officers responded to gunfire at Park Towers Apartments, located at 777 NW 155th Lane, around 12:30 p.m., according to Officer Luis Sierra, a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

Deputies found the man with multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews airlifted him via helicopter to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A suspect who was at the scene has since been detained, Sierra said. He told deputies an argument between the two men caused the gunfire.
