Shooter still at large after robbery of $30K Rolex in Broward County

A man was shot during a robbery attempt near Southwest 147th Terrace on Saturday in Miramar, according to police.

A man was shot during a robbery of a $30,000 Rolex watch in Miramar during the early hours of Sunday, according to police.

At around 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a man with a gunshot wound near the 3000 block of Southwest 147th Terrace, an area made up of various apartment complexes. Police say the wounded man was found inside a “residence.”

An unknown man came up to the victim and demanded his Rolex watch. He then shot the man before fleeing the area, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries.”

A perimeter was set up, and the Broward Sheriff’s Office K9 and aviation units helped with the search, but the suspected shooter was not found.

The investigation is ongoing.
