A man stabbed a woman early Tuesday morning in North Broward before taking off in a car and still on the loose, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4 a.m., a call came into Broward County Regional Communications about a stabbing near the 3800 block of North Powerline Road, near the Broward Waste Management facility.

Deputies arrived and found the woman with a stab wound. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue rushed the woman to a local hospital, where her injuries were listed as non-life threatening.

Investigators determined the stabbing was a domestic incident. They say a man stabbed the woman and then drove off in a car.

The car was later found unoccupied near the 5700 block of Rock Island Road in Tamarac, nearly 10 miles away.

BSO Special Victims Unit detectives continue to investigate.
