A former NBA veteran player was arrested Sunday in Broward on an out-of-state warrant, according to jail records.

Marcus Morris Sr., 35, was locked up on a fraud charge stemming from an incident in Nevada, records show. Deputies arrested Morris at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

The circumstances surrounding his arrest were unclear as of Monday morning, although records mention an insufficient funds check.

He remains at the Broward Main Jail without bond, likely awaiting extradition to Nevada.

In a post on X, Morris’ twin brother Markieff Morris — who played for the Miami Heat for one year, among other teams — said, “Damn for that amount of money they’ll embarrass you in the airport with your family.”

Morris, a 13-year power forward, last played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers in the 2023-2024 season. He was selected by the Houston Rockets as the 14th overall pick in the 2011 draft.
