Woman shot and killed in her front yard overnight in Miami

Police are investigating the death of a young woman who was shot in her front yard.

The shooting took place at 8400 Northwest 24th Ave overnight Thursday.

The woman, Precious Denese Jackson, 24, was outside talking to friends when she was gunned down according to her mother Tehsia Green. Green told Miami Herald new partner CBS4 she believes the shooting was a case of mistaken identity.

“I’m a mother of seven kids and my second oldest girl is laying over there in front of my house dead and it’s not fair,” said Green.
