Two people were killed in a Miami Gardens shooting early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Police say a fight broke out around 2:40 a.m. at a business near the 200 block of Northwest 214th Street, and it continued into the parking lot.

The fight ended in gunfire exchanged by “both parties,” according to police.

Miami Gardens officers arrived to find two people with gunshot wounds. One person was declared dead on the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, and another died at the hospital.

Police say a suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the community.
