Man arrested after pulling gun during Mallory Square fight in Key West, police say
Officers arrested a man after they say he pulled a handgun out during a fight at Mallory Square in Key West Thursday night, police said.
The man, 33-year-old Chris Stein, was riding a unicycle when he was attacked by another man, said Alyson Crean, spokeswoman for the Key West Police Department.
Witnesses told police that during the fight, Stein brandished his gun that he was wearing in a hip holster, Crean said.
It was not immediately clear if police arrested the other man.
Stein was arrested on felony assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and criminal mischief because the fight resulted in damage to a Mallory Square storefront, Crean said.
As of Friday morning, he was being held in Monroe County jail with a bond yet to be set by a judge.
