An 18-year-old man died in the hospital after being shot in a southwest Miami-Dade park during a dispute Monday night, according to the law enforcement officers.

Around 7 p.m., the shooting happened at Naranja Park, located at 14150 SW 264th Street. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Detective Joseph Peguero said an argument led to the gunman, who remains on the loose, pulling out a firearm and gunning down the teen, identified by law enforcement Tuesday as Flavio Alejandro Morales.

A woman at the scene, who did not want to be named, said her son was in a group with Morales and told his mother the suspect was antagonizing his friends about wanting their football.

Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue paramedics took the teen to Jackson South Medical Center, where he died, according to Peguero.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call 305-471-8477.
