Man shot after argument in Liberty City. Deputies searching for shooter

A man is hospitalized after an early morning shooting in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood on Wednesday, deputies say.

Around 5:40 a.m. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the 5600 block of Northwest 19th Avenue after reports came in of a person being shot.

Deputies found a man with gunshot wounds and he was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center and is now in stable condition.

According to investigators, the shooting followed an argument between the victim and another man.

The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
