Two dead and one injured in a Christmas Day shooting at a Broward IHOP, police say

Two people were killed and another was injured after an early morning shooting on Christmas Day at a Broward IHOP, police say.

The shooting happened just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at the restaurant, 7990 Miramar Parkway, according to Miramar police. The three people were rushed to Memorial Hospital Miramar with gunshot wounds.

“Preliminary investigations reveal that this was a targeted attack, and the victims were known to one another,” police spokesperson Janice McIntosh said in a statement. “At this time, the Miramar Police Department is not seeking any suspects, and there is no evidence to suggest this was a random act of violence.”

According to WPLG-Local 10, the two people gunned down were women.
