One man is dead following a late-night shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday, according to police.

At about 9:10 p.m. Miami-Dade Police Officers responded to ShotSpotter alerts in 265th Street and Southwest 138th Court.

“When [officers] arrived on scene, they were not able to locate any victims or the evidence of a shooting,” Detective Andre Martin told the Miami Herald.

But about 50 minutes later, a good Samaritan flagged down police to two men with gunshot wounds at a Wawa gas station located at 11200 SW 248th Street, Martin said.

The two men seemed to have driven themselves there, according to Martin.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and is in stable condition.

Police ask anyone with information on this incident to contact the Miami-Dade Police Department.
