Man in critical condition after overnight shooting on Biscayne Boulevard, police say

A shooting Friday morning on Biscayne Boulevard has left a man severely injured, police say.

At 2:18 a.m. Miami Police received several alerts from ShotSpotter, a gunshot detection system.

Officers arrived at 5950 NE Biscayne Blvd. and found a man in his 30s shot several times. The man was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

The address matches the one of Carl’s Motel El Padre.

The shooting happened just one block away from The Cushman School, a private Pre-K to 12th-grade school.
