Following an argument with two people he knew, a 15-year-old boy was shot to death Sunday evening in South Miami, police said.

At about 5:32 p.m. South Miami Police responded to multiple calls of a shooting near the apartments at 5944 SW 64th St. Police found the boy, whom they later identified as Nolan King, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported Nolan to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he died of gunshot injuries.

South Miami Police stopped a car of interest at U.S. 1 and Southwest 104th Street. The car’s two occupants ran away before the South Miami officers, with help from Miami-Dade police officers, caught up with them.

Police detained the two but have not identified them.

Early results from the investigation show the people in the car and Nolan knew each other and got into an argument, which led to the shooting.
