A teenager was shot near a Miami-Dade townhouse complex, police say

A teenager walking with a friend near a townhouse development was shot Saturday night, Miami-Dade police said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the 17-year-old to Jackson South Medical Center in stable condition.

According to investigators, the boys heard gunfire while walking in the 13800 block of Southwest 262nd Street, in the Naranja area near Bode Grace’s Grace Homes townhouse development. The 17-year-old saw he’d been shot and got to a nearby home to make a 911 call.

No information on a shooting suspect has been released.
