A shooting early Tuesday in Miami Gardens has left a woman dead, according to police.

At about 7 a.m., Miami Gardens police officers arrived at Northwest 167th Street and 27th Avenue after reports of a person being shot. Officers found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds in a parking lot. She later died.

On Wednesday, police identified her as Chavely Acanda Gonzalez, 27. Police said it would not release the suspect’s identity.

Authorities are still working to determine whether the shooting occurred where the victim was found.

Miami Gardens police continue to investigate.
