Two people suspected of being involved in an armed robbery of $1.7 million of gold and jewelry in Nashville were found about 900 miles away in a beachfront hotel, police say.

Miami Beach and Metro Nashville police say Orlando Valdes Hernandez, 34, and Milleni Garcia, 38 were arrested Sunday at the Grand Beach Hotel, 4835 Collins Ave., with jewelry, cash and a blond wig. Nashville police say the dark-haired Garcia wore the wig during Wednesday’s robbery at Dubai Jewelry.

The duo moved from Miami Beach lodgings to Miami-Dade Corrections’ lodgings at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center while awaiting extradition.

Metro Nashville posted to X a photo of a third robbery suspect.
