A driver was found shot in a crashed Nissan Altima early Saturday in Pembroke Pines, police say.

At about 1 a.m., police went to the area of 11700 Sheridan St. after reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they noticed a crashed Nissan Altima and confirmed a man had been shot.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, police say.

A preliminary investigation found that at least two vehicles were being driven recklessly along Sheridan Street, with an occupant in one of the vehicles firing shots at the Nissan, according to police.
