Shooting at a Broward restaurant injures two women, police say

Two women were injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning at Lallo’s Caribbean Restaurant, according to Lauderhill Police.

Officers arrived at the restaurant, 1400 N. State Road 7, around 2 a.m. to find a crowd dispersing. They learned that a woman who was shot had been taken to HCA Florida Plantation Emergency by a friend. She is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another woman at the restaurant had minor, non-shooting-related injuries and was also taken to the hospital by a friend.

Police say the motive for the shooting remains unknown, and no suspects have been identified.

Previous Shootings

This isn’t the first time Lallo’s has been the scene of gun violence.

During Labor Day weekend in September 2023, a shooting wounded three people at the Lauderhill restaurant.

And on May 17 this year, Shondel Brathwaite, 29, was fatally shot at Lallo’s after getting into an argument. Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
