A man was wounded after two men who were riding a personal watercraft in a canal fired shots at a home in Golden Glades during a party following an altercation Sunday night, Miami-Dade County police said.

The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. at a home located at the 15000 block of South River Drive, said Detective Andre Martin, a Miami-Dade police spokesman.

During the party, there was a verbal dispute between the unidentified men and two others on the personal watercraft, who subsequently opened fire toward the back of the home — striking one person.

Personal watercraft are small tandem boats more commonly referred to as Jet Skis, which is the brand name of a the version made by Kawasaki.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the wounded man to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, where he was in stable condition as of Monday afternoon, Martin said.

Police do not have anyone in custody related to the shooting, Martin added.
