Man killed in Broward sports bar triple shooting, deputies say. 2 others hospitalized
A man was killed and two others were wounded in a triple shooting in North Lauderdale over the weekend, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
Around 3:41 a.m. Sunday, Broward deputies rushed to the 5200 block of North State Road 7 after receiving a call about a shooting, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Moments later, they learned three men had driven themselves to two different hospitals after being shot near Player’s Sports Bar & Grill on 5280 N State Road 7.
The dead man was identified as 26-year-old DeAndre Major. Brandon Pinkney, 36, and Clarence Hall, 30, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
And this isn’t the first time that a shooting has occurred near Player’s Sports Bar and Grill.
Four people were wounded in a shooting after a fight broke out inside Player’s Sports Bar and Grill on Feb. 6, 2022. At the time, deputies said a patron was then kicked out of the bar before shooting at the business.
Anyone with information about the shooting should call Det. Louis Bonhomme at 954-321-4377 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
