A man was killed and a woman was critically injured early Wednesday morning in a shooting in Hollywood, police said.

Around 12:33 a.m., Hollywood officers rushed to the 2300 block of McClellan Street in response to a call about a shooting, police spokeswoman Deanna Bettineschi said in a news release.

Officers said the shooter had fled by the time they arrived.

The man, who was in his 20s, died at the scene while the woman was taken in critical condition to Memorial Regional Hospital, Bettineschi told the Miami Herald. The woman is also in her 20s, Bettineschi said.

No one had been arrested as of Wednesday afternoon.

CBS News Miami footage showed a car with about a dozen bullet holes.

A man told the TV station that the shooting woke him up.

“It was crazy,” he said. “I laid on the floor for a few seconds.”
