52-year-old man was shot and killed at a Miami Gardens apartment complex, police say
A 52-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday morning in the parking lot of an apartment building in Miami Gardens, according to police.
Police officers rushed to the 700 block of Northwest 210th Street around 5:45 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire, Miami Gardens police said in a statement. Officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds on the ground near a car.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said. He was later identified as Alex Ozuna.
WSVN 7 News footage showed a body covered by a yellow tarp and several evidence markers near a vehicle, which had its back driver-side door open.
No arrests had been announced as of late Wednesday morning.
