Drive-by shooting critically wounds 18-year-old woman near Kendall, police say

An 18-year-old woman was in critical condition Wednesday after she was wounded in a drive-by shooting near Kendall the night before, Miami-Dade police said.

Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle drove by and one or more people in the car began firing several shots at several persons sitting outside a Richmond Heights home in southwest Miami-Dade, 14600 Harrison St., police said Wednesday morning in a news release.

“The victim was immediately transported to Jackson South Medical Center by family members where she has undergone surgery and is listed in critical but stable condition,” police said.

Authorities didn’t report any other injuries nor have they announced any arrests in connection to the shooting as of Wednesday morning.
