Miami Commissioner Alex Díaz de la Portilla was arrested Thursday on corruption charges.

The charges, which include bribery and money laundering, mark a new scandalous chapter for a politician with a decades-long record of controversy from Tallahassee to City Hall. Díaz de la Portilla posted a $72,000 bond, according to one of his attorneys.
